Post Walk and Talk – Social
Date: Tuesday, May 17, 2022
Time: 5:30pm
Meet us at 10th and Terrance after the Walk and Talk

Mark your calendars to join us Tuesday, May 17th, for a special Walk and Talk followed by a social!

Our two speakers, Curtis Kasefang and Jason Prichard both with extensive technical and hands-on experience, will lead our members and guests on a walking lecture with real life examples of theatrical and entertainment lighting systems found inside the theater. Followed by a social open to all guests after. The tour will be at the A.J. Fletcher Opera House (in Duke Energy Center 2 E South St, Raleigh).

Please arrive by 3:45pm for the tour beginning at 4pm. Curtis and Jason will walk the group (register early because we are limiting the group size for the walk and talk!) through the theater for a dive into theatrical and entertainment lighting systems. They will discuss theatrical lighting system design for a performance space that uses LEDs for stage lighting and house lighting. Additional topics to include, LED for lighting 101, power infrastructure, power distribution, control distribution, house light considerations and integration, and life safety issues.

*Masks required inside the building, please check the event page for updates.

We will end the tour and meet at 5pm for a group social at 10th & Terrace at Residence Inn (616 S Salisbury St, f10, Raleigh). Food and drinks will be the responsibility of the individual. We look forward to seeing you in person!
