Join IES Raleigh Section for a Learning Lighting webinar!

POE (power over ethernet) for commercial lighting applications and a brief intro to IoT (internet of things) for lighting networks. Learning objectives; attendees will be able to identify key terms and contents for PoE solutions, including appropriate application and trends in the market. Attendees will also receive a brief introduction to IoT. Derek Loyer – Director of IoT at Cree Lighting will be our guest speaker.

About the Speaker:
Derek Loyer, Director of IoT at Cree Lighting has spent the last 10 years in the lighting and smart building space. He is founder of data analytics company nanochomp and acts as Director of IoT at Cree Lighting. For the last 5 years Derek has focused on smart buildings using intelligent lighting (wireless and PoE) as well as sensor networks as tools for better end-user outcomes. Derek holds degrees in electrical engineering and computer science.
